Opinion paper under the lead of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Germany and the Université catholique de Louvain, Belgium published in PNAS argues for mobilizing existing very-high-resolution satellite data to improve smallholder agricultural monitoring.

Three new scientists joined our research group: Miriam Rodriguez, M.Sc., César Alvarez, PhD, and Martin Dautriche, M.Sc.

Harison Kipkulei represented the research group at the "GLPOSM5 - Pathways to sustainable and just land systems"

Die Universität Augsburg ist vom 04. bis 08. November 2024 Teil der Public Climate School. Bei dieser Initiative öffnen Forschungseinrichtungen in ganz Deutschland ihre Räume für die Öffentlichkeit und vermitteln wissenschaftlich fundiertes Wissen rund um die Klimakrise. In Augsburg stehen Planspiele, Vorträge, Filmvorführungen und interaktive Formate auf dem Programm.

Harison Kipkulei presented a talk at the 2024 Earth Observation (EO for Africa Symposium) which took place in Frascati, Italy.

 

 

Prof. Katharina Waha was invited speaker at this year's symposium hosted by TUM.

There is a research assistant/doctoral candidate position available at the research group for Climate Resilience of Human made Ecosystems. The position is part of the "Green Research Network BRaVE"

 

Prof. Katharina Waha is keynote speaker at this year's IAMO Forum which takes place June 26th to 28th in Halle/Saale.
