The University of Bayreuth Graduate School offers free places in the online workshop: "Academic Posters All Inclusive – Concept, Design and Presentation" Places will be allocated on a “first come, first served” basis. Dates: Thursday, 24.10.2024 09:00 am - 04:00 pm Thursday, 31.10.2024 09:00 am - 04:00 pm Language: English Description: Poster sessions are an integral part of scientific conferences. Their purpose is to highlight research results, visualize them, and stimulate discussion. To draw your audience in, you need a clear content structure, a text format optimized for best readability and well-chosen graphics. Above all, you need to think well through how to compellingly organize your contents on the required poster format. Though – designing an attractive poster is only half the story – a succinct and convincing presentation is just as important to convey your scientific topics. The workshop teaches design skills in combination with presentation expertise and offers you practical training on how to use these skills for a targeted science communication. Methods: Lectures, analysis, practical exercises, group work, video recording, presentations, feedback. Participants are requested to bring the content material (texts and graphics) for a poster or recently designed examples.
