Yang Liu began his Bachelor study in Business Administration (B.Sc.) at the University of Augsburg in 2014. In 2021, he earned an M.Sc. degree in Financial Management from the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart. During the initial years of his Master program, he worked as a student research assistant at the Chair of Econometrics and Statistics as well as the Chair of Banking and Financial Services. In the later stages of his Master study, he gained research experience as a research assistant at the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv). In 2021, Yang Liu commenced his Ph.D. at the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. Prior to completing his doctoral degree (Dr. rer. pol. – rerum politicarum) in 2023, he joined the Chair of Management, Innovation, and Sustainable Business at the University of Augsburg, where he currently serves as an Assistant Professor. Yang Liu's research interests include empirical studies in green finance, sustainable corporate governance, energy economics, and carbon and environmental economics.
