Unter der Leitung von Martin X. Müller und Johannes Schulz fand eine große 10-tägige Exkursion in die Westalpen statt. Die Teilnehmenden erlebten imposante Gletscherlandschaften, charakteristische geologische Besonderheiten und eine Vielzahl weiterer geographischer Aspekte der Hochgebirge. Dabei betrachteten sie Umweltveränderungen, klimatische Entwicklungen, geomorphologische Strukturen sowie touristische Gegebenheiten stets aus einer holistischen Perspektive. Die Exkursion bot Raum für fachliche Diskussionen und die Reflexion der komplexen Wechselwirkungen zwischen Natur, Klima, Landschaft und menschlicher Nutzung in den Westalpen. 

Under the leadership of Martin X. Müller and Johannes Schulz, a 10-day excursion took place in the Western Alps. Participants experienced impressive glacier landscapes, characteristic geological features and a variety of other geographical aspects of high altitude mountains. They observed environmental changes, climatic developments, geomorphological structures and tourist conditions from a holistic perspective. The excursion provided an opportunity for discussions and reflection on the complex interactions between nature, climate, landscape and human use in the Western Alps.
