The presentation examines the connections among medical students’ emotions, control- and value

appraisals, and achievement. While limited research in medical education underscores the significance of grasping emotional aspects and their impact on outcomes, the causal relationships between emotions, appraisals, and achievement remain ambiguous. The investigation seeks to unravel these connections over time by employing a reciprocal effects model.
