The degree course at the Leopold Mozart College of Music at the University of Augsburg, LMC, is almost unique in Germany: a top-class, well-supervised music education integrated into a comprehensive university. The Bachelor's degree course, which was relaunched three semesters ago, prepares students for as many career opportunities as possible in a musical context. In addition to artistic training, teaching and music mediation are taught, and there is content on personal development and self-marketing as well as legal topics relevant to performances and freelance work. The newly structured Master's course will also start next winter semester.

Students at the LMC benefit from the interdisciplinarity, future-oriented research and the numerous intra-university networks, exchanges and suggestions. Joint projects and research projects with other subjects enrich everyday study life. LMC students also have the opportunity to take non-musical courses at three faculties and in-depth language courses at the Language Center. They also have a wide range of opportunities to perform at university events.

Insights into everyday study life and individual audition dates

The LMC invites all those interested in studying under these special conditions to the FUTURE MUSIC open day. On Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 11:00 a.m., there will be information, tours of the facilities and rooms as well as opportunities to get to know the lecturers personally over a small snack. 

In addition, anyone considering studying music at the LMC will also have the opportunity to present their current skills to the lecturers at an individual audition or audition appointment. For organizational reasons, if you are interested, please contact the relevant lecturers in advance to coordinate an individual appointment. In this way, interested prospective music students can present themselves in the best possible way and at the same time gain a very personal impression.
