The Dean's office is the interface between professors, students and the university administration and is responsible for the organisational procedures at the Faculty of Medicine.

In the Department of Medical Education Augsburg DEMEDA, the former Office for study course development & management and the Chair of Medical Didactics and Education Research work together under one roof. The latest research findings are incorporated into the content design and management of the course, while at the same time practical experience helps identify new research questions.

The Faculty of Medicine has a Faculty Council, in which representatives from all areas of the Faculty are members, as well as an Examination Board.

When completed, the Faculty of Medicine will have 101 chairs and professorships; at the moment it is still under construction.

The University of Augsburg has two clinical partners, the University Hospital and the District Hospital, that ensure excellent medical care for the population in the entire region.

The Faculty of Medicine organizes centrally coordinated procedures for evaluation and quality development. The process and structural quality of the Augsburg model medical course are the main focus of attention.
