Declaration of accessibility
In order to make our digital content accessible to as many people as possible, we strive to design our website pages in such a way that makes the content as accessible as possible. Should you nevertheless face barriers to accessing our content, we will try to provide you with the content individually or attempt to make the designated webpage or information more accessible. Please report any instances of inaccessible content to the contact persons below.
The University of Augsburg endeavours to make its webpages accessible in accordance with the Bavarian Ordinance on Electronic Administration and Accessible Information Technology (Bayerischen Verordnung über die elektronische Verwaltung und die barrierefreie Informationstechnik, BayEGovV). This declaration of accessibility applies to the content on www.uni-augsburg.de.
State of compliance with requirements
Our webpages are partially compliant with the Bavarian Ordinance on Electronic Administration and Accessible Information Technology (BayEGovV). Inconsistencies and exceptions are listed below.
Content that is not universally accessible:
- There may be errors in the heading hierarchy or link descriptions may not be self-explanatory.
- Not all PDF documents are universally accessible.
- Not all embedded videos have a full audio description, full text alternative, or subtitles.
- Content and functionality may be partially lost when text is enlarged.
- Additional content that is displayed via a pointer or keyboard focus may under some circumstances be inaccessible.
- Foreign words and sections may not be readily distinguished.
- The content is not available in easy-to-understand language or sign language.
Grounds for inaccessible content
The University of Augsburg has a very extensive web presence, including at least several hundred web pages. As a consequence of this disproportionate burden, not all of our webpages are universally accessible. The technical conversion of our webpages will be carried out successively. Some PDF documents were created before 23 September 2018 and therefore do not correspond with current accessibility requirements.
