Teaching
Our team is in charge of teaching introductory courses at the undergraduate and the graduate level in the courses of study: geoinformatics (BSc. and MSc.), geography (BSc. and MSc.), and teacher’s studies in geography.
In the winter term the main lectures are „Geoinformatics ‘-
Concepts “ and „Geoinformatics ‘- Algorithms“ at the undergraduate level as well as „Modelling and Simulation“ at the graduate level. In addition, we teach project seminars (e.g., on landmarks) and methodological courses on spatio-temporal analysis.
In the summer term, our spectrum ranges from introductory „GIS“ and „Advanced spatial analysis“ courses at the undergraduate level to „Python“ courses and project seminars at the graduate level.
We also manage further courses taught by lecturers from outside the university, such as „Scientific English“, „3D and Spatial Analyst (ArcGIS)“, as well as colleagues from other universities as part of the Erasmus Lecturers’ Exchange program.
All team members supervise theses at the bachelor’s and master’s level (see below for topics covered).
