"Water is becoming increasingly scarce in Bavaria. So scarce that the state government expects distribution conflicts for water..." - Working groups are being created to address these challenges. Options for improved infiltration and direct use of precipitation are on the agenda, not least to reduce groundwater withdrawals as well.

After a slight recovery of groundwater levels in Bavaria in the spring, they are again dropping to low levels due to the drought of recent weeks, according to Prof. Kunstmann. The "water cent" could be an important control instrument here.
