Laboratory
At the Institute of Geography we have two well-equipped research laboratories. These offer a wide range of options running different analyzes for research projects and for teaching. In the working group Water and Soil Resources Research, we mainly focus on analysing components of biochemical cycles. An important part is the determination of carbon and nitrogen parameters in soils. ´Beside classical methods we are working with spectroscopy to increase sample throughput. Moreover, modern imaging microscopes, e.g. 3d confocal laser microscope, are available actually used for microplastic analysis.
