Research Topic "Static Application Security Testing

Motivation

Static Application Security Testing is a mechanism in which program code is checked for errors. An error describes unwanted or dangerous behavior of a program. Pattern recognition is used to detect such behavior. Unfortunately, these tools suffer from a high number of false positives.

Problem Statement

The goal of a thesis/project module in this area is to improve existing concepts or to develop new concepts that sort, eliminate or cluster these false positives.
