Overview

The project "Bildung 4.0 für KMU" is designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the lightweight construction sector in designing their education and training processes under the aspects of "Industry 4.0" and "Digital Transformation“. Within the network, SMEs will be given access to a broad basic knowledge on the subject of "digital learning", and supra-regional synergies and cooperation structures will be the built.

SMEs receive specific support in implementing digital media in their own qualification and personnel development strategies. A mobile learning studio can provide SMEs with the company's technical infrastructure and enables them to develop digital teaching and learning solutions on site together with their employees. In addition to proven digital teaching and learning solutions (such as webinars and video conferences), innovative digital learning infrastructures will also be used. A mixed-reality learning environment will be developed for this purpose. The implementation will be evaluated and a catalogue of measures will be developed.

Lightweight construction technology is characterized by very complex value chains in production and innovative and short-lived developments. In order for SMEs to be able to keep pace and remain competitive, employees must be trained. This can only be achieved through organisational and technical systematisation and the use of mixed reality to integrate digital learning into the work process.
