According to the current state of negotiations, in the future not only graduates of a law degree, but also students can participate in various LL.M. programmes within the framework of an exchange for half a year. Augsburg students will also have the opportunity to stay in Johannesburg for a whole year and acquire the LL.M. The second semester, which is no longer free of charge, is much cheaper financially than in the USA. The programme therefore offers students an attractive alternative to an exchange to the USA. In return, the South African students take part in the Augsburg Summer School.

The organisation of a joint conference was also discussed in advance. The conference is planned to take place on June 23 and 24, 2016 at the Faculty of Law in Augsburg. An Augsburg return visit to Johannesburg is then planned for 2017. The Impact of German Law on the South African Legal Order" is the main topic of the conference in Augsburg.
