(...) The LOEWE Centre for Financial Market Research (Sustainable Architecture for Finance in Europe, SAFE, Frankfurt am Main), the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW, Berlin) and the Leibniz Institute for Economic Research Halle e. V. (IWH) were the subject of the review. The study was initiated by the Joint Science Conference for the Federal and Regional Governments. The latter asked the Science Council to examine the institutions mentioned above. The aim of the investigation is to determine whether the institutes mentioned meet the criteria for inclusion in a federal and state funding project.
