Study shows an increase in cases of psychosis following the legalisation of cannabis

The legalisation of cannabis could be responsible for more cases of psychosis and hospital admissions. This is suggested by a pilot study conducted at the Chair and Clinic for Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, and Psychosomatics at the University of Augsburg, led by Prof. Alkomiet Hasan. The study was published in the German medical journal Ärzteblatt.

Prof. Kerstin Stemmer elected Fellow of the Academy of Toxicological Sciences (ATS)

Kerstin Stemmer, Professor of Molecular Cell Biology at the Institute of Theoretical Medicine at the University of Augsburg, has been elected as a Fellow of the renowned Academy of Toxicological Sciences (ATS). Admission to this international professional society represents a significant distinction in the field of toxicology.
