Environmental Medicine at WIRM 2025
From 13 to 16 March 2024, three of our colleagues were happy to join the 19th World Immune Regulation Meeting (WIRM) at the Davos Congress Center. Around 400 young researchers and senior scientists from more than 40 different countries met for this congress to exchange the latest findings in immunology and gave 120 lectures and presented 176 abstracts. This years congress focused on Immune Activation, Effector Functions and Immune Tolerance with a special focus on Allergy and Autoimmunity – important topics for the development of new treatment approaches that can better regulate the immune system. We were proud to present two topics in workshop presentations: “Influence of serotonin-signaling on maturation and cytokine production of dendritic cells in comparison with BPE and influence on T cell priming” and “Exposure of nasal epithelial cells with pollen aerosols and coronaviruses in a near-physiological in vitro model” and participate in fruitious discussions.
