Bianca Jansky studied Sociology, Political Science, Philosophy and Global Studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich, and Roskilde University. During her studies, she worked as a Research Student Assistant at the Chair of Qualitative Methods, Institute of Sociology, LMU. From 2018 to 2020 she was employed as a Research Associate at the Institute of Ethics, History and Theory of Medicine, LMU in the BMBF funded research project: META "mHealth: Ethical, Legal, Social aspects in the technological age". She has been a Research Associate at the Institute for Ethics and History of Health in Society, University of Augsburg in the META project since December 2020. In 2023 she obtained her PhD in social science (sociology with a focus on science and technology studies) at the LMU, supervised by Paula-Irene Villa Braslavsky (LMU) and Henriette Langstrup (University of Copenhagen) with an ethnography on patient activism in type 1 diabetes.
