We are mourning our former colleague Professor Ronald H. W. Hoppe. He passed away on February 8, 2023 at the age of 72. Professor Hoppe was a highly respected and valued member of the University of Augsburg and the University of Houston. He will be remembered as a brilliant mathematician, an exceptional teacher, a supportive colleague, and a dear friend.
