Career
Meral Roeben has been working as a postdoc at the University of Augsburg since October 2025.
In 2025 Meral completed her doctoral thesis at LMU at the chairs of Educational Psychology and TEFL. In her thesis, she investigated simulation-based learning in technology-related cross-domain and teaching English as a foreign language contexts. Meral has received two scholarships from Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung (“Studienförderung” and “Promotionsförderung”).
Additionally, Meral is a reviewer for Learning and Instruction.
She obtained her teacher´s degree (First State Examination) for secondary schools (“Gymnasium”) in English, business administration, economics and law at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in 2019.
In February 2022, she completed her teacher training with the Second State Examination.
