Prof Dr. Helena Bilandzic

Professor Helena Bilandzic holds the Chair of Communication Science with a focus on Reception and Effects at the University of Augsburg, within the Institute for Media, Knowledge and Communication. She has a rich background in experimental media effects research, focusing particularly on emotional aspects of media impact. Professor Bilandzic's work extensively covers both qualitative and quantitative content analysis, and she has led multiple DFG-funded projects examining evidence practices in science journalism and media portrayal of evidence during crises.

Prof Dr. Monika Taddicken

Professor Monika Taddicken is a Professor of Communication Science at the Technical University of Braunschweig, based at the Institute for Communication Science. Her research primarily focuses on science communication from an audience perspective, particularly within modern communication environments. Her studies delve into public participation and the trust relationship between science and digitalized publics, with current collaborative projects exploring public engagement with science in the era of AI.

Prof Dr. Björn W. Schuller

Professor Björn W. Schuller holds dual appointments as Professor of Health Informatics at the TUM School of Medicine and Health, and at the TUM School of Computation, Information, and Technology. He is a leading figure in affective computing, with research spanning audio-based, textual, and multimodal affect analyses. Professor Schuller was the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing from 2015 to 2018 and is the CSO at audEERING GmbH, which he co-founded.

Dr. Daniel Silva Luna

Dr. Daniel Silva Luna is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Augsburg. His work has primarily focused on science communication, examining the role of emotions in conveying scientific messages, the media representation of climate change, and factors influencing public trust in scientific discourse. His research contributes to a deeper understanding of how emotions are used in scientific discourse and their implications for public engagement. 

Dr. Irene Broer

Dr. Irene Broer is a research assistant at the Institute of Communication Science at the Technical University of Braunschweig. her research focuses on the digital transformation of science communication, interfaces between science, media and politics, artificial intelligence, (applied) ethnography and design thinking, as well as organizational sociology and anthropology.

Martin Günter Bürger

Martin Bürger is currently a doctoral student at the Chair for Embedded Inteligence for Health Care and Well Being.
