Aim: Evaluation of training interventions to improve local strength endurance via Near-Infrared-Spectroscopy (NIRS).

Abstract: The primary aim of the project is to find appropriate training interventions und competition strategies to improve the climbing specific local strength indurance. Near-Infrared-Spectroscopy is a new kind of measurement for noninvasive acquirment of the muscle’s load parameters. By means of this method climbing specific NIRS parameters are conducted during lead climbing on competitive routes. In the following, training interventions to improve these parameters and local strength endurance are developed and evaluated. The most efficient method will be integrated in the athletes’ training. A transfer is expected to other sports which are limited by local strength endurance.

Data acquisition: motor testing, Near-Infrared-Spectroscopy, questionnaire

Data analysis: descriptive und inferential statistics
