This includes the planned promotion and stimulation of relevant research projects, the provision of a research infrastructure and the creation of a platform for the exchange and communication of researchers who are committed to the aims of the IEK. In addition, the Institute's tasks include communicating the knowledge gained in this way to the scientific and non-scientific public.
