Research Associate (m/f/d), Faculty of Business Administration and Economics
At the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics at the University of Augsburg, a position is available at the Chair of Business Administration with a focus on Innovation and Sustainable Management (Prof. Dr. Marcus Wagner) from April, 1st 2025 or earliest thereafter for a Research Associate (m/f/d) in the scope of regular working hours, with the opportunity for a doctoral or habilitation degree, in an initially fixed-term employment relationship for a period of three years. An extension of the employment is envisaged upon fulfillment of the requirements. The position is suitable for part-time employment, provided that full-time performance of the task is ensured through job sharing. The research program of our chair is in the field of theory-based empirical research. https://www.uni-augsburg.de/de/fakultaet/wiwi/prof/bwl/wagner/ Your profile: You have completed a suitable academic degree programme at Master's level (e.g. business administration, business psychology, information systems or industrial engineering or sustainability with an adequate management/ economics component), with above-average success. A specialization in innovation and/ or sustainability is beneficial. Alternatively, you are about to complete a doctorate with a similar focus. Ideally, you have already gained some knowledge in statistics, econometrics or machine learning methods. Furthermore, you are fluent in written and spoken English. Your motives: Acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge has made you curious about empirical research. You would like to present your research results for discussion at international conferences and publish them in high-ranking journals. You enjoy sharing knowledge and findings to interested audiences and working in a team. You want to develop your professional, methodological, and personal skills for a successful career and be able to signal this by completing a doctorate or habilitation. Your tasks: You will actively contribute to our teaching and will assume further responsibilities in the context of the chair’s operations. You will participate in international and national research projects and conferences whilst working in a focused manner on a doctorate or habilitation. Salary is determined by prior experience and on the fulfilment of requirements according to the German public sector pay scale up to E 13 TV-L.
