Study content:

Within the scope of the degree programme, students deepen their knowledge of economics and apply it to economic policy problems. The methods courses macroeconomics, microeconomics and econometrics form the basis for this. By choosing seven modules in the Economics Major, students can set their own focus. Choosing a minor allows them to gain additional business knowledge, or to specialise further by choosing the General Management & Economics minor.

Application Documents

The following documents must be enclosed with your application (copies do not need to be certified):

  1. Information letter about the Master's degree programme (you will receive this as a PDF after completing the online application);
  2. Curriculum vitae in table form;
  3. List of all academic achievements ("Transcript of Records");
  4. Proof of English language skills at least at level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR); these language skills are considered proven if a higher education entrance qualification or the first higher education degree from an English-speaking educational institution has been acquired, as well as by the certificate of general higher education entrance qualification with at least the grade "sufficient" in the continued foreign language English or a school leaving certificate comparable to this, otherwise proof can be provided by the successful completion of a relevant test such as TOEFL or IELTS;
  5. Bachelor's degree
  • If available: Copy of Bachelor's degree certificate;
  • If not available: Confirmation of the average grade achieved to date (Students of the University of Augsburg should apply for the certificate at an early stage by emailing ssc@zv.uni-augsburg.de to the Student Information Office. You will be notified via your e-mail address as soon as the certificate can be collected or is sent).
