Mathematics (M.Sc.)
Study content:
This study programme builds on a relevant Bachelor's programme and deepens the competences acquired there. The Master's programme consists of the main subject mathematics and exactly one subsidiary subject. Possible subsidiary subjects are economics, computer science, physics, geography and philosophy. The Master's degree establishes that students have in-depth subject knowledge in mathematics and the ability to work independently and critically according to modern scientific methods.

Proof must be provided of the exam results in this programme, the number of currently accumulated credit points in your studies and the required number of credit points for achieving a degree in your study programme.

- Optionally, proof of further exam results can be attached that have been achieved during relevant studies or other relevant further education procedures.
- Optionally, proof of all practice-relevant activities, such as internships, activities as a working student, training.
Proof for points 2, 6 and 7 can be submitted as simple copies. The overviews over your grades and the calculation of your average grade must be submitted in the original.
Information for applicants who at the time of their application (before 31.07 for the winter semester and before 31.01. for the summer semester) cannot yet prove that they have completed their Bachelor’s degree programme, but have acquired at least 85% of the credit points need for completing the degree successfully:
- Until the time of admission 01.10. (respectively 01.04.) all missing exams should have been taken and passed.
- Immediately after all missing performances have been completed and the Bachelor thesis has been registered, an officially confirmed list of all performances completed and of the registration of the Bachelor thesis must be submitted to the chair.

Proof of the exam results achieved in this degree programme, the number of credit points included in the calculation of the average grade, as well as the number of credit points required for the completion of the corresponding degree programme must be enclosed, which must also be available in a certified translation.
