Information and aspects on sustainability at the University of Augsburg

Research on sustainability is already being conducted at all of the university's faculties and its cross-faculty centers. It is one of the leading locations in Bavaria in the field of climate protection, environmental and resource research and environmental health research. In addition to the faculties, interdisciplinary centers and institutes bundle the activities of this focus in the university's research profile.

University of Augsburg wins award in sustainability ranking

The University of Augsburg was distinguished with the "Best New Participating University" award in the international GreenMetric ranking, placing it at the top of a field of around 300 newcomers.

Identifying and preparing for the effects of climate change

With the new BRaVE research network, the University of Augsburg is aiming to research vulnerabilities arising from the effects of climate change and develop solutions for adaptation. Green Office

The Green Office is a central component of the University of Augsburg's Green Transformation. It serves as the coordination and steering unit of the University Management Officer for Green Transformation. As a university-wide project, it puts the University of Augsburg on the road to becoming a leading sustainability university. The establishment of the Green Office marks the beginning of this goal, which is enshrined in the University Charter.
