Im Psychologischen Forschungskolloquium werden laufende Forschungsarbeiten vorgestellt und diskutiert. Zusätzlich zu Wissenschaftler*innen der Universität Augsburg berichten auch Forscher*innen aus anderen Forschungseinrichtungen über ihre Arbeit.

Researchers have long recognized the importance of quality teacher-student relationships for student learning, motivation, and achievement. But less is known about why some teachers are better than others at forming supportive and effective teacher-student bonds. In this presentation we will consider how teacher beliefs about their responsibilities as teachers, what students need to thrive, the importance of finding work-life balance, and the availability of other resources besides the teacher may affect the willingness and ability of teachers to form positive connections with their students.
